This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. C. E. Jones and

C. M. Erb of this office on July 28 and 29, 1980, of activities at Byron

Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2, authorized by NRC Construction Permits

No. CPPR-130 and No. CPPR-131 and to the discucsion of our findings with

Mr. G. Sorensen and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
