INTERVENORS REQUEST FOR FOSTFONEME!!T OF FTOL FROCIEDIN3 A prehearing conferance was held in La Croase on September 11, 1980 to discuss the Show Cause Order issued to Dairy 12nd Power Cooperativa of La Crosse as licensee of the Ls Crosse Soiling Water Reactor, and subsequent requests for hearings. The Coulee Region Energy Coalition was one of the parties rec, uesting a hearing. Moreover, C.R.E.C. was one of the parties granted a hear.ing, having shown sufficient interest and sufficient need for a hearin. Concequently, C.R.E.C. is now involved in the discovery process in the Show Cause proceeding.

On the basis of the foregoing facts, interveners in the FTOL proceeding hereby request that the hearing schedule for this procee, ding, na established previously by the Atonic Safety and Licensing Board, be suspended until such time as the Shcw Cause proceeding is completed.

C.2.E.C. mahec this request with the rx.li;ntion that the Show Cause proceeding will be expe !ited, with the hearing process expected to be completed within three menths.

Intervenora acaert that a fair and orderly hearin process can only be achieved through temporary suspensten of the FTCL nearing schedule for the O

, A following reasons:

a)

C.R.E.C. has ins.fficient reaources, both human snd monstwry, to properly and.3ucceccfully proceed with both procee'iir.gs cimul-taneoualy, b) The FTCL proceeding should not proceed unless and until we have disposed of this matter of critical import properly.

Respectfully, f
