9-NOTICE OF VIOLATION Based upon_the results of the NRC inspection conducted on April 21. 1980, i
one of your activities appears to be in noncompliance with NRC regulations as indicated below:
Contrary to 10 CFR 71.3, a shipment of licensed material was delivered to a carrier for transport that was not authorized in a specific or general license issued by the Commission or exempted in 10 CFR 71.
Specifically, a shipment of radioactive material, made by you on April 18, 1980, contained amounts of radioactive material in excess of type A quantities in an unapproved package.
This item is considered Category III.
