Response to IE Bulletin 79-03A

Dear Sir:

Our letter in Reference (c) informed you that seam welded A312 pipe was not utilized at the Yankee Rowe plant, and it is not planned to be used in the future. A review of our piping specification has determined that its use is permitted; however, in all cases the pipe wall thickness is based on the use of 85 percent of the code allowable.

Since this meets your criteria, no further action is necessary.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Very truly yours, YANKEE ATOMIC ELECTRIC COMPANY
