Environmental Qualification of Electrical Equipment This letter transmits an Order which requires information to support the environmental qualification of safety related electrical equipment at Nt,.-th Anna Power Station, Unit No.1.

The Commission's Memorandum and Oraer of May 23, 1980 addresses safety related electrical equipment exposed to a harsh environment, inside or outside containment, resulting, from an accident.

The Order requires that all such equipment in operating reactors be fully qualified by June 30, 1982.

To complete this objective, jrou are required to submit, by November 1, 1980, all information to support a safety evaluation of the aforemen-tioned equipment.- If your f acility had an established commitment date before November 1, 1980, it is fully expected that your submittal will be not later than that co"tritment date.

If your facility's comitment date is past without a comp lete submitt o, it is strongly recommended that actions be expedited !;ince they have already impacted the staff review schedule.

Briefings were held with till interested licensees during the week of July 17,1980.

Enforcement actions relative to this Order were dis-cussed during these brief ings.
