- 5) of Supplment 1 to the subject bulletin and indicated future cor-respondence would provide responses to the r eaining licensee action items. The purpose of this letter is to provide response to it m B. 1).
It m B. 2) shall be answered by the date stipulated in the original bulletin (Septmber 1,1980).
It should be noted that item numbers correspond to those given in the original bulletin.

The continuous waste level monitoring systm will not be installed by September 1, 1980.

'Ibe systm will not be installed by Septmber 1,1980 due to the extended lead time for the mata ial. General Electric, the sup-plier of the systm has informed JCP&L that delivery of the systm can be expected six (6) to twnty (20) weeks after receipt of a purchase order. The required purchase order is expected to be issuM the week of August 18, 1980.

Based on the delivery times noted above, the anticipated systm installation date is no later than February 1, 1981.

Until installation of the continuous monitoring systs is complete, the SDV will be nonitored daily for the presence of water to assure its operability. No additional equipment changes and/or surveillance requirments will be performM other than those 8009160510

The bases for this position is provided in our response of August 7,1980 to Item A.,1) of the bulletin, and the consideration that daily monitoring of the SDV as v211 as monitoring following reactor scrams for the presence of water provides adequate information to detennne its operability.
