REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON SEQUOYAH - CONTAINMENT ANALYSIS By separate letter R&D Associates supplied Mr. Larry Mills of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) a copy of its report "Sequoyah Containment Analyses,"
dated July,1980. This report was prepared at the request of Commissioner Victor Gilinski.
As discussed with Mr. Larry Mills, TVA is requested to review this report and provide comments to me be close of business Friday, August 1,1980.
Also, to the extent that this has not already been done, you are requested to docket all documentation related to TVA's analyses of the structural ability of the Sequoyah containments to withstand the effects of hydrogen ignition / detonation. This documentation would include material refered to or presented orally at meetings with the staff and with the ACRS.
A copy of the above mentioned R&D Associates report is being provided to the ACRS and is being placed in the Public Document Rooms.
