je SGML:H3 70-1120 AUG 6 1980 Uestinghouse Electric Corporation ATTN:

Mr. Ronald DiPiazza, Manager License Administration Vater Reactor Division Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15230 Gentlemen:

In your letter, symbol WRD-LA-170 dated July 9,1980, you describe certain decomissioning activities involving contaminated glove boxes and equipment. The procedures to be followed and the standards used for this werk are not now described in your Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan.

Since your license, SNM-ll20, is for more than one effective kilogram of special nuclear material, these measurements and procedures must be approved by this office prior to shipment of these items.

Please prepare and submit these procedures for our review and approval in sufficient time to meet your shipping schedule.

Sincerely, 9

Janes
