License CX-22 RPI Critical Experiments Facility Security Plan
Dear Sir:
Enclosed are copies of the RPI Critical Experiments Facility Security Plan.
This plan has been written to meet or exceed the category II requirements of 10CFR73.
This is the second set of copies to be sent to your office, the first set was mailed August 1, 1980.
As you probably know, we have completed a program of core fissile load reduction in order to operate with less than 5 kilograms of U-235 on-site. We are now working out the details for a shipment of the excess SNM to Oak Ridge (Y-12 plant) by the Department of Energy.
This letter is a confirmation of the telephone con-versation with Mr. Pat Trimble of your staff.
We are working to effect the SNM transfer at the earliest possible date consistent with complying with the regula-tions for NRC licensee SNM shipments.
My thanks to Mr. Trimble for his assistance in this matter.
The enclosed information is to be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with10CFR2.790(d)(1).
