Nort;h Anna Based on the NRC inspection May 12-16, 1980, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by Technical Specifications 4.0.2.a and 4.8.2.3.2.a., the 125-volt battery bank and charger shall be demonstrated operable at least once per 7 days with a maximum allowable extension not to exceed 25% of the surveillance interval by verifying electrolyte level, specific gravity cell voltage and overall battery voltage are within stated specifications.
Contrary to the above, periodic test procedure 1-PT-85 (D.C. Distribtition Systems) was performed on 4/3/80 and 4/13/80. This interval is in excess of Technical Specification requirements.
This is an infraction. A similar ites was brought to your attention in our letter dated January 29, 1980.
