i The Comission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 61 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-3 for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (Yankee Rowe).
The amendment is in response to your application dated

September 24, 1979.
l The amendment delet'!s the technical specifications for secondary water chemistry and incorporates a new license condition in the license, para-graph 2.C(5), for implementation of a secondary water chemistry monitoring j
program which inhibits steam generator tube degradation.
I We found it necessary to modify your proposed license condition.
This change was discussed with and agreed to by your staff.
Copies of our related Safety Evaluation and the Notice of Issuance are i
