50-260 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50.59, we are enclosing 40 copies of a requested amendment to operating licenses l

j DPR-33 and DPR-52 to change the technical specifications of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant units 1 and 2 (Enclosure 1).

The proposed changes extend the values of Maximum Average Planar Linear Heat Generation Rate (MAPLHGR) versus fuel exposure for values of fuel exposure out to 40,000 mwd /T.

Justification for the proposed change is provided as errata and addenda to the Loss-of-Coolant Accident analyses for Browns Ferry units 1 and 2 (Enclosure 2).

i In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 170.22, we have determined this proposed amendment to be Cla'ss II for unit 1 and Class I for unit 2. -These classifications are based on the facts that the proposed amendment is an administrative change that has no safety significance for unit 1, and the proposed amendment for unit 2 is a duplicate of the unit 1 proposed amendment. The remittance for $1,600 ($1,200 for unit 1 and $400 for unit 2) is being wired to the NRC, Attention Licensing Fee Management Branch.
