Oyster Creek Nucioar Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Technical Specification Change Request No. 88 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.59 and 10 CFR 50.90, Jersey Central Power &

Light Company, owner and operator of the Oystcr Creek Nuclear Generating Station, requests changes to Appendix A of Prov isional Operating License No.

OPR-16.

This proposed change inclucca the additlan of technical specification requ i rements f or the Grid Undervoltage Protection System and revises the technical specification requirements pertaining to the Station Batteries. The changes proposed in relation to the Grid Undervoltage Protection System are in response to the tRC letters dated June 2,1977; August Ii, 1979; and June 16.

The changes proposed rel ative to tne station batteries, which are in accordance with our April 4, 1978 correspondence, ref lect the ex isti ng 125 VDC system.

These changes supersede those requested in Technical Specification Change Request No. 67; theref ore, Technical Specification Change Request 67 shou ld be del eted.

The contents of this Technical Specification Change Request have been rev iewed and approved by the Station Superintendent, the Pl ant Operations Rev iew Committee, and an independent Safety Review Group in accordance with Section 6.5 of the Oyster Creek Technical Speci fications.

Since this proposed changs involves issues which have clearly iden rified acceptab il ity criterio by NRC position, we have determined that this submittat is Class ill per 10 CFR 170.22; therefore a check in the amount of $4,000 is enclosed pursuant to that section.
