QUAD-CITIES NUCLEAR POWER STATION UNIT TWO SUFCIARY STATUS OF FUEL PERF051RANCE LTD OF CYCLE FOUR-BEGINNING OF CYCLE FIVE APRIL, 1980 At the end of this reporting period, Quad-Cities Unit 2 had completed 4 reactor cycles of operation. During that time, 1247 fuel assemblics had seen duty in the Unit 2 core. Of those-1247 assemblies, 289 were determined to have failed and were discharged as leaker assemblies.

All of the fuel specified as being failed was of the initial fuel batch either Unit 1 CX or Unit 2 Cy - 7X7 lattice.

Other types of fuel used in Unit 2 to date which have not failed are GBH - 8X8's and LJ - 8X8's.

For Unit 2 Cycle

5 180 new IJ - 8X8 refuel assemblies were 100% visually inspected and loaded.

All the Unit 2 fuel is shown on the attached lists as being either in the Unit 2 fuel yool or the Unit 2 reactor,
