Dear Mrs. FitzGibbons:
We are sending under separate cover the first portion of the Consumers Power Company's, Midland Nuclear Power Station, " Tendered Application" for an operating license, which was sub:nitted on August 29, 1977. This portion of the " Tendered Application" will be given an acceptance review by the NRC Staff.
If found acceptable, a " Formal Application" will be submitted in about 30 or 40 days.

Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) - volumes 1 - 18 NOTE: Security Plan withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790.

It is anticipated that the remaining portion of the " Tendered Application",
consisting of the Environmental Report, will be subnitted in March 1978.
