20555 Re:
Midland Suspension Hearings Gentlemen:
I respectfully remind the Board that there are still outstanding matters which I trust will be the subject of rulings shortly.
I have advised the Board in earlier communications about those matters which are outstanding and most of them still are, but I call specific attention to the matters which I would like resolved rather promptly.
One is the supplemental answers of the Regulatory Staff to our interrogatories and the other is the question of proprietary documents in connection with nuclear fuel costs.
By carbon copy of this letter to Mr. Nute, I confirm a request which I made orally to Mr. Probila a few days ago that a copy of Dow's'most recent answers to interrogatories l
to the Regulatory Staff be forwarded to Dn. Timm and further, l
that Dow update and amend our interrogatory to Dow concerning l
the position of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency concerning Dow's plan submitted to the Michigan Air Pollution Authority (Bcard Exhibit 3).
I understand that at a meeting on February 14, 1977, EPA was critical of the Dow plan and is insisting upon Dow's filing a prompt resolution to air quality l
problems in Midland, Michigan, giving consideration to a resolution which is in Dow's complete control, which obviously the nuclear plant is not.
Because of the importance of my request, Mr.
Probila agreed to both of them and I am merely recording that l
