Chemical Company to Consumers Power Company The December 27, 1976 Interrogatories of All Intervenors Except Dow Chemical Company to Consumers Power Company state:

These interrogatories are intended by Intervenors to be continuing in nature.

Consumers Power Company (Consumers) is required to update its answers from time to time in the event it obtains knowledge which renders a prior answer to these inter-rogatories incomplete or inaccurate.

Attached is a copy of the May 6, 1977 response of A.H. Aymond, Chairman of the Board of Consumers Power -

Company to an April 28, 1977 lettar from Paul F. Oreffice, President of Dow Chemical U.S.A., to Mr. Aymond. Mr.

Aymond's response relates to the contractual relationship between Consumers Power Company and Dow, and specifically, is being distributed to assure that Consumers Power's response to Intervenors' Interrogatory No. 1 is complete.

It should be noted that the April 28 letter of Mr. Oreffice was transmitted to the parties on May 2, 1977 as an " update" to Dow's Response to an Intervenors' Interrogatory of the same substance.

This transmittal in no way waives Consumers

?ower's continuing objections to this Interrogatory as upheld by the Board on January 31, 1977 (Tr. following p. 2440),
