I KMLNRC-003 Re: NRC Docket No. STM 50-482 GKoester letter to WSeidle dated May 14, 1980

Dear Mr. Seidle:

This letter is written as a follow up to my May 14 letter regarding two instances of damage to concrete at elevation 2021' 7" in the refueling pool adjacent to the zaactor cavity.

As previously indicated, both instances of damaged concrete were identified on Nonconformance Reports and processed to Bechtel for their evaluation and disposition. Bechtel's evaluations indicated that neither of the two instances of damaged concrete, if left un-corrected, would have become a significant safety problem through-out the operating life of the Wolf Creek No.1 Unit and therefore is not a reportable matter under Regulation 10CFRSO.55(e) .

The evaluation, disposition and repair of the damage may be revieved during any future site inspection.
