SUMMARY

PHASE I: Evaluation of GE Supplied Documents Evaluation has been completed for the equipment for which G.E. provided documents on March 1, 1980. The results of this evaluation are: 1. Identified additional data needed from G.E. 2. Prepared a list of NSSS equipment for NRC-SQRT. 3. Identified difficiencies in the reports provided. PHASE II: Upgrading Qualification Reports By Analytical Techniques (Progress report of Phase II work is attached). About 75% of this work has been completed as of 7/25/80. Balance of the work is in progress. On a few pieces of the equipment, effort is being made to get additional information for completion of the qualification. Passive devices having difficient test reports are being qualified analytically by analysis. PHASE III:' Upgrading Qualification By Testing We are in the process of identifying equioment and devices needing retest.. Test program is being initiated. This program is' expected to be completed by September,.1980. 8'O08080

I e PHASE'IV:- Modifications This work has not been initiated when equipment does not meet the applicable loading conditions suitable modifications will be studied. PHASE V: ' Equipment Replacement This will be done only: 1. If equipment is capable of withstanding applicable loads 2. If new qualification is more than the price of a new qualified equipment.
