Dear Mr. Parris:
In 1978, we initiated a study of BWR Augmented off-gas treatment systems.
A survey team from EG&G Idaho, an NRC contractor, visited your Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant on July 18-20, 1978, to compile data on your operating experience with the augmented off-gas system. Your plant was one of five operating BWRs which were surveyed. We appreciate your assistance and cooperation in this study.
EG&G has completed a report on the data collected during these five trips, a copy of which is enclosed. We propose to publish this report as a NUREG document. However, before we do so, we wanted to provide you an opportunity to review it and submit any comments or suggestions. You are requested to provide your comments, if any, within the next 90 days.
