ORDER GRANTING STAFF MOTION TO FILE SECOND-ROUND DISCOVERY (July 29,1980)
By motion dated July 28, 1980, the Staff seeks permission to file second-round discovery requests against CREC.
It also recommends a schedule for such discovery.
Second-round discovery was contemplated by our Order of I
November 30, 1979; but because CREC only recently filed supple-mentary responses to the Staff's first-round interrogatories, the Staff has not been able to seek such second-round discovery.
The Staff represents that the Applicant and CREC have no objection to the schedule which it proposes.
For good cause shown, the Staff's request is granted.
Second-round discovery requests should be served by August 12, 1980.

1/The Co:mnission's new policy of procedural assistance to intervenors is now in effect.

Under that policy, if CREC wished to have the Secretary serve its responses, those responses would have to be filed (mailed) by September 3.
However, we will permit CREC to mail its responses as late as September 8, as long as it sends an extra copy to the Staff counsel (plus an original and two copies to the Secretary).
