In response to your letter of April 4, 1980, transmitting IE Bulletin 79-03A, Carolina Power & Light Company submits the following information:

A thorough review of the piping specifications at the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant has determined that the use of A-312, Type 300 Series, fusion-welded pipe is not allowed for use in safety-related systems.

We trust that this information satisfies the request of IE Bulletin 79-03A.
