j I.A.3.1 REVISE SCOPE AND CRITERIA FOR LICENSING EXAMINATION i vi' h, In a letter dated March 28, 1980 we informed all Power Reactor A licants

_and t.icensees _that._the scope and criteria for licensing _ examini::pp ions would bTTncftThed effective May 1,1980.

The scope of the-operator and senior opsrator examinations was modified to include a new Category on thermodynamics and related subjects. The criteria for passing the examination requires an applicant to achieve a grade of 70% or greater in each Category and an overall grade of 80%

Further, we have informed Farley management that individuals licensed on Unit 1 who fail the examination on Unit 2 will be prohibited from performing licensed duties on Unit 1 until they have been requalified.

CONCLUSION:

We conclude that the requirements of Task Action Plan I.A.3.1 have been met.
