Dear Mr. O'Neill:

It has come to my attention that on March 22nd, 1971, the Saginaw Valley Nuclear Study Group filed over 300 interrogatories for the AEC staff to answer.. To my knowledge, the AEC has to date not answered these interrogatories.

It is quite a chore to provide meaningful answers to many of the difficult safety and related questions posed by these intervenors at the Midland Nuclear Power Plants, however I am sure that you agree with my feeling that it is most important for these questions to be answered and in a timely manner.

If you would kindly notify me of the status of the staff's reply to these interrogatories I would appreciate it.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sine rely yours, l
