This refers to the meeting conducted by Messrs. Yetter and Rohrbacher of
,
this office on April 17, 1973, relative to the restart of construction of
'
the Midland Plant authorized by AEC Construction Permits No. CPPR-81 and
No. CPPR-82 with you and Messrs. Kessler, Hills, Cooke, and Hanson of your
staff.
The areas examined during the meeting are identified in the attached report.
Within these areas, the meeting consisted of review of applicable documenta-
tion and discussion of the matters at hand.
Within the scope of this meeting, no violations of AEC regulations were
identified.
By way of this letter, we wish to confirm our understanding during the
meeting that you intend to review the Bechtel Corporation quality
assurance / quality control organization structure for the Midland project
and that your review will be based on our discussions regarding the
adequacy of organizational independence from cost and scheduling
responsibilities.
A copy of our report of this meeting is enclosed and, in accordance with
Section 2.790 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of
Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed report will
be placed in the AEC's Public Document Room. If the report contains
,
information which you or your contractors believe to be proprietary, it
'
is necessary that you submit a written application to this office, within
20 days of the date of this letter, requesting that such information be
withheld from public disclosure. If such an application is submitted, it
must identify the basis for which information is claimed to be proprietary
.
