'This is in response to your letter of 10 February 1971 addressed to Mr. Michact S. Cafferty, Acting Assistant Secretary for Environment and Urban Syr.Lems, concerning the dreift environmental statement for the Midland Nucicar Plant Units //1 and //2, to be built on the south bank of the Tittabawassee River, Midland, Michigan.

The concerned operating administrations and staff of the 1)cpartment of Transportation have reviewed the draft statement. It is the deter-mination of DOT that the impact of this project upon transportation is minimal and therefore no comments are offered.

The opportunity offered to comment on the draft environmental considerations for the Midland Plant Units #1 and //2 is appreciated.
