Dear Dr. Morris:
After discussions with your staff regarding the exemption for starting the Midland Plant construction as requested in our letter to you on May 28, 19'70, further detailed inferration is required by the DRL Staff regarding the work to be performed.
Enclosed is a revised version (SK-C-243 - Rev. D) of the originally submitted Drawing SK-C-243 (Rev. C).
The follcwing three points alcng with the revised drawing are intended to clarify and answer the re=aining questions you might have:

Items which would necessarily be embedded in the founda-tion slabs and walls include reinforcing steel, cadweld connectors, sump liner plates, thickened floor liner plate, liner plate veld back-ing strips, anchor bolts, door frames, beam brackets, waterstops, pipe sleeves, reactor building mat columns and tower crane =ast section for
]
temporary crane, and auxiliary building pipe tunnels.
2.
Reinforcing steel embedded in the reactor building foundation slab extends into future location of the walls to approxi-mately Elevation 614 which is 20 feet belcw the finish plant grade of 634. It is not intended to place concrete or wall liner plate in the reactor building walls as these walls will be slip fomed in a continu-ous operation after receipt of a constructicn permit.
