Mr. Keppler:
Your letter of August 9,1974 requested that a determina-tion be made whether certain types of circuit breakers, identified in Directorate of Regulatory Operations Bulletin 74-9, are installed or scheduled to be installed in safety-related (Class IE) facilities at the Midland Plant. Please be advised that none of these circuit breakers have been installed or purchased for the Midland Plant, hence no corrective action is necessary.
We do not anticipate the purchase of any General Electric Model 4KV safety Magne-Blast circuit breakers for any safety-related facility at the Midland Plant. All 4160-volt switchgea:s for the Midland Plant have been ordered from another supplier and any addi-tional circuit breakers required in the future will be purchased consistent with the circuit breakers presently included in the switchgear.
