Dear Mr. Volganeau:
We wish to advise you of the final disposition of the deficiency reported to.you on January 9,1976 in accordance with 10CFR50.55(e).
The new material has been received for replacement of all valve stems necessary to correct this problem.
The stems for all valves which have failed in service have been replaced.
The remaining new stems will remain in stock for replacement at a later date if the original stems exhibit a tendency to bend.
For some of the valves supplied by the NSSS manufacturer, the fix was the i'nstalla-tion of torque limiter plates.
These plates are at the site and will be installed.
This action comple :c; disposition of all known deficiencies of this nature, and as such, we consider this item closed.
Complete documentation concerning this matter is on file at the Crystal River Unit #3 plant site.
