Retrospective Premium Guarantee As proposed in our June 30, 1977 letter to you, ne Clevehnd Electric T1htmicating Com any hereby provides the documents described below and attached hereto as evidence of its guarantee.of its share of the retrospective premium ($5,138,000) which may be levied against the Invis-Besse Unit No.1 reactor licensees.
1.
A copy of an April 11, 1977 letter from ne Cleveland Trust Company which extends a $25,000,000 line of credit to Be Cleveland Electric m =4 mating Company for the period April 11, 1977 to May 1, 1978.
2.
A copy of a letter from te Cleveland Electric Ilhtminating Company to The Cleveland Trust Company which orders the restriction of the Company's use of the existing line of credit in the amount of $5,138,000 for the period August 1, 1977 to April 23, 1978 and which acknowledges The Cleveland Trust Company's acceptance of the restriction. As described in this letter, the sole purpose of the credit restrictica is to ensure that sufficient funds will be available to the Company to pay any deferred premiums assessed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission against the Company's ownership interest in the Davis-Besse Unit No.1 nuclear reactor.
The Company's anniversary date for future filings of retrospective premium guarantees will be April 23 Toledo Idison has also celected this date for future submittals.

Dear Mr. Maeder:
Re: Usage Restriction on Line of Credit Your letter of April 11, 1977 confirmed a $25,000,000 line of credit extended by The Cleveland Trust Ccmpany to The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Cc=pany.
The expiration date of this credit arrangement is May 1,1978.
As we have discussed with you and David P. '4eber, we elect to place a restric-tion on our line of credit in the amount of $5,138,000 for the period August 1, 1977 to April 23, 1978. The sole purpose of this credit restriction is to ensure that sufficient funds will be available to the Company to pay any deferred pre-miums assessed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commissica against the Company's ownership interest in the Davis Besse Unit No. 1 nuclear reactor. This restriction is not subject to recision by the Company except to the extent that the Comcany elects to furnish an alternative form of deferred premium guarantee which may be required by or acceptable to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
