ACCIDENT ANALYSIS BRANCH In order'to assess the degree of cocparability of protection against tornado missiles provided by the Davis-Besse 1 design accepted at the CP stage of revieu with that provided by designs currently under review, submit.the follouing inforna-tion for all Category I structures and appurtenances with walls or roofs less than 2 fcet thick, considering the spec-trum of missiles listed belou.

For each significantly different vertical or horizontal surface thickness, identify the approxinate velocity below which penetration cnd the generatich cf secondary nissiles is not calcu]ated to occur, for at least Missile F below 30 feet clc zation and Missile C for all elevations.
2.
If you have relied on separation of redundant components for nissile protectica, please proeide ir a tabular fora all instances uh2re systins vital to safe shutdcun c.re not protected by barriers.
Describe the physical separatica with respect to cissiles frc: both horizontal and vertical directions.
Provide tha inherent capabilit'; of each un-1 protected vital systa= in the carne,r indicated in Itnt above.
