Dear Mr. DeYoung:
In accordance with our March 22, 1976 letter we are submitting under separate cover forty (40) copies of our " Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 Appendix I Evaluation." This report responds to Item 1 of your February 19, 1976 letter and provides the information requested in Item 1 of Enclosure 1 and Items 1 through 9 of Enclosure 2 of your letter.
The information requested in Item 2 of your February 19, 1976 letter, proposed technical specifications to keep the radioactive releases frem the unit to unrestricted areas as low as practicable, is currently being prepared utilizing the guidance presently available from the Staff. We anticipate that these specifications will be subaitted by no later than September 1, 1976.
If you should have any questions concerning any of this material, do not to hesitate to contact me or any of my staff.
