- 1. C. DeYoung, Assistant Director for Pressurized Water Reactors, L DUKE F0VER COMPANY (OCONEE 1) - SHIFT STAFFING With regard to your memorandum of February 22, 1973, we have discussed the above subject with Duke Power Conpany. Duke stated that it intends to comply with the Unit 1 Technical Specifiutions 6.1.1.6
- a., b. and c. as written. Duke informed us that the mas holding the supervisor title who will be assigned as a licensed operator to Unit i vill not be the Unit I supervisor but will serve primarily as relief for the other licensed operators assigned to Unit 1.
Since it is anticipated by Duke that this man will have spare timeffrom Unit I duties, he will be available to assist in Unit 2 preoperational activities. This arrangement is not.inconsistant with the,, basis for the requirement for the relief licensed operator. Therefore, we find this arrangement to be acceptable.
