I I discussed the subject of anti-corrosion lubricant for containment tendons with Franz Schauer, Structural Engineering Branch, and informed Jim Henderson of RO that Duke was forced to make a substitution for this product prior to ordering shipment of the Oconee Unit 3 tendons.
Schauer felt that Duke would have no problems in making a suitable selection for a substitute product for No-Ox-Id (R) 500 which had been specified in the FSAR. He advised that Duke amend the FSAR, however, Henderson advised that Duke maintain a record of its selection for the benefit of the field inspector in the interim until the FSAR is revised.
I advised Canady of the above discussion. The tendons will be slipped (at Duke risk) using Visconorust 1601 manufactured by Viscosity 011 Company as the substitute product.
