information on the proposed amendment to Section 3.9 of the liquid ef-j fluent Technical Specifications for Oconee Nuclear Station. We have l
conpleted our review and evaluation of the proposed :hanges to specif t-cations 3.9.1.c (Reporting Requirements), 3.9.3 (10 CFR Part i, Limits),
3.9.4 (10 CFR Part 50.36a), 3.9.6 (General Design Criteria 60 and 64) and 3.9.7 (General Design Criteria 60). Proposed specification 3.9.1.c is only an coitorial change (replacing AEC by NRC) and, therefore, we j
find it acceptabic. Proposed specifications 3.9.3, 3.9.4, 3.9.6 and 3.9.7 are not accepta51e because these changes would allow releases of l
radioactive materials in liquid effluents greater than (up to 35 times) j the concentrations in water specified in 10 CFR Part 20, Appendix B, Table II, for unrestricted areas.
l is suitable for inclusion in the safety evaluation for this amendment. Enclosure 2 is the revised Oconee Nuclear Station Technical i
Specifications. Our safety evaluation is written assuming the licensee will agree to our changes to specification 3.9.7.
