- l. meeting has been tentatively scheduled for September 21, 1976 to discuss geology and seismology and foundation engineering aspects of the Jocassee Dam and local scismicity.
It would be useful to invite the participation of the Federal Power Commission in this meeting. They oversee construction and operation of such dams-and have examined the Jocassee Dam.
We have l
had informal telephone conversations with Mr. H. Thomas of that organization in the past regarding the Jocassee Dam.
Since this cecting requires the involvement of another agency, we believed l
that an invitation to attend the meeting should be initiated at the A/D i
level or~ higher.
