U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFF REVIEW OF THE LONG-TERM SURVEILLANCE PLAN FOR THE NATURITA, COLORADO, DISPOSAL SITE (Docket No. WM-66)
Dear Ms. Denny:
I am writing in response to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) report entitled Long-Term Surveillance Plan [LTSP] for the Naturita, Colorado, Disposal Site dated September 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession Number ML19262E588). The final LTSP reflects changes to the report, specifically, the DOEs cessation of groundwater monitoring at the site, the inclusion of rights-of-way in the LTSP and correction of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) notification information as discussed in letters dated February 2, 2018 (ADAMS Accession Number ML18037A720), and March 4, 2019 (ADAMS Accession Number ML19057A496). The NRC staff has reviewed the final LTSP and has no additional comments or questions at this time.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
