. Gentlemen:

New Hampshire Yankee (NHY) submitted FSAR Amendment 62 (Reference (b)),

to-the NRC, which included changes to Section 13.2 regarding training.

The 4

. NRC Staff and NHY held a conference call on October 13. 1989, to discuss the Staff's. review of Section 13.2.

In those discussions, the' Staff provided comments in' order to enhance the descriptive training details provided in Section 13.2.

In a followup conference call on October 25, 1989, NHY committed'to provide the descriptive enhancements requested by the Staff in a future t

amendment to the FSAR. Additionally, the Staff noted that NHY's training program, as amended, was found to be-acceptable however, they requested that a

NHY commit to Regulatory Guide 1.8, Revision 2 " Personnel Selection and

. Training' to ensure that NHY's training program is in conformance with the Staff's updated guidance. 'New Hampshire Yankee commits to Regulatory Guide

. 1.8 Revision.2. This commitmant will be reflected in a future-amendment to the'FSAR.
