This is to advise you of a special inspection initiative that is being E.
performed at operating reactors.. It will include an inspection to be perfonned at your Farley site.
The initi6tive is entitled the "E0P L
Inspection Program."
The purposa.of the inspection. is to verify.that the E0Ps are technically accurate; that specified actions can be meaningfully accomplished using existing. equipment, controls,. and instrumentation; and that the available procedures. have the usability necessary to provide the operator with' an L

- effective operating tool.

The inspection program is a team inspection.
The inspection team should include two o.' three reactor inspectors, a licensing examiner, a human factors o
l specialist, and the Farley senior resident inspector.
The inspection is scheduled for March 5-16, 1990.
The team leader for this inspection will be Mr. L. Lawyer from. Region.II.
Mr. Lawyer will contact members of your staff in the near future to discuss the details of the inspection.
