Units 1, 2, and 3 Security Plan Amendment 23 File:
89 006 493; 89 056 026 Attached please find a signed original and three controlled copies (Numbers 8 3, 8 4 and 8 9) of Amendment 23 to the PVNGS Security Plan.
Amendment 23 provides information in response to Generic letter 89 7,
" Power Reactor Safeguards contingency Planning for Surface Vehicle Bombs." These copies contain replacement pages for the copies of the Security Plan currently held by the NRC.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.4(b)(4)(iii), we are herewith forwarding two copies of Amendment 23 to the Regional Administrator of the Region V office.
These changes are being submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p) as a report of changes that do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the plan, A
summary of the submittal is attached.
These Amendments to the PVNGS Security Plan contain Safeguards Information which must be protected against unauthorized disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 73.21 and are, therefore, to be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.790(d). Picase ensure that appropriate steps are taken to safeguard their contents.
