Technical Specification Change By letter' dated June 24, 1988, I requested changes to Technical Specifications to i
delete various surveillance requirements. Included in the submittal were changes to the Refueling Water Storage Tank (RWST) level instrumentation reactor vessel level indication system (RVLIS): liquid effluent monitoring instrumentation and
.(PORVs) y power sources for pressurizer heaters, power-operated relief valves emergenc and PORV block valves. On September 13, 1988, amendments to the Facility Operating License were issued which deleted surveillance requirements for the emergency power sources for pressurizer heaters, PORVs, and PORV block valves

the' remaining items were left open pending further review.
i Hy staff is currently preparing a Technical Specification change to relocate all l
radiologica) effluent Technical Specifications (RETS) to the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual, in accordance with GL 89-01. The liquid effluent monitoring r
instrumcr.tation is included in the RETS submittal. Therefore, the request for the liquid offluent monitoring instrument surveillance deletion is hereby withdrawn.
The remaining requested changes for RWST Level and RVLIS instrumentation, remain open.
