On September 22,.1989 at'1515, a 10 CFR 50.72 Section b(1)(iii) notification was i
made to the NRC Operations Center concerning a loss of power to several sirens.
The loss of power was due to power lines downed by Hurricane Hugo. Upon further
. review of this event, it was determined that the appropriate 10 CFR 50.72.Section for this notification is'b(1)(v). Please be adviset that a Licensee Event Report will not be submitted in regards to the above mentioned notification as there is no corresponding 10 CFR 50.73 section. NRC/ Region II was kept informed of efforts to restore power to the sirens, Should thera be any questions, contact R. O. Sharpe at (704) 875-4447.
