Dear Mr. Jones:
The Connission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 49 to Facility Operating Licease No. DPR-40 for the Fort Calhoun Station, IJnit No.1.
This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your applications transmitted by letters dated July 5,1979 and May 12, 1980, as supplemented by letter dated May 14, 1980.
The amendment changes the Technical Specifications'to remove the require-ment to cycle certain non-redundant pumps and valves and adds requirements for ensuring the availability of auxiliary feedwater.
Copies of the Safety Evaluation and Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
