Parris Manager of Power 500A Chestnut Street Tower II Chattanooga, TN 37401 Gentlemen: Thank you for your letter of June 16, 1980, informing us of steps you have taken to correct the items of noncompliarce concerning activities under NRC Operating Licenses DPR-33 ,nd DPR-52 brought to your attention in our letter of May 20, 1980. This conclusion is based in part on our inspector's report of the event that your plant staff evaluated the reportability at the time of occurrence and concluded that the item dio not meet the prompt report- ability requirement. Our records will be adjusted to reflect that ' noncompliance did not occur. We wish to emphasize that should your staff have any concern as to the reportability of an event, that they be encouraged to discuss the reportability with our inspectors and/or office staff. .
