NARRATIVE

REPORT Georgia Power Company Plant E. l.-Hatch Baxley, Georgia 31513 Reportable Occurrence Report No. 50-366/1980-092.

The reactor operator discovered RBM

'B' ineperable while performing surveillance checks per the daily rounds procedure, HNP-2-1050. The RBM should have been operable at 98% power and no edge rod selected. There was no effect upon public health and safety nor was safe plant operation affected. This was a non-repetitive event.

The monitor failed due to an inoperative power supply. The power supply was repaired and the monitor returned to service. Procedure llNP-2-3055, REM -Functional Test and Calibration, was performed satisfactorily.

The generic review of the event did not reveal any inherent problems.
