,Att: Mr 'J G Keppler, Regional Director Region III US Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 MIDIAND NUCLEAR FIANT - COMPONENT COOLING WATER CASINGS FINAL REIORT - DOCKET NOS 50-329 AID 50-330 On April 5,1977, per 10 CFR 50.55(e) we provided an interim report on the design of coc:ponent cooling water pump casings. This report is a final repcrt in that the corrective action and the safety implications of the correction have been determined.
It has been decided to cancel th'e procurement of these pumps from BfhW Canada Ltd.
A new purchase order will be plD.ced with another supplier.
There are no unresolved r afety implications associated with this corrective action because the new purchase order specifies component cooling water pumps which are in compliance with the Midland ISAR commitments.
