CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY APPLICATION FOR REACTOR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AND OPERATING LICENSE DOCKET NO. 50-329 DOCKET No. 50-330 AMENDMENT No. 31 Enclosed herewith, amending and supplementing the above-entitled appli-cation, are revised pages and reports for incorporation in the Pre-liminary Safety Analysis Report submitted with the original application on January 13, 1969, as amended. This material consists of the following:

1. Report " Probable Maximum Flooding Near the Midland Site," Revision 3, dated December 1975, to replace Revision 2 of this report dated August 1974, submitted by Amendment No. 27 (dated August 13, 1974).

This Revision 3 revises the maximum Tittabawassee River water level, discusses the effect of concurrent wind induced wave activity and provides a description of flood protection from potential wind induced wave runup on the site.

2. Revised pages 2-1 and 2-14 show the new probable maximum flood stillwater level and to reference Revision 3 of the above report.

3. Revised Midland Plant PSAR " List of Effective Pages" giving the current status of the pages of the Preliminary Safety Analysis Report, the Director of Reactor Licensing Questions, and the Supplementary Reports submitted by amendments.

These new and revised pages bear the notation " Amendment No. 31 1/76,"

and are marked in the margin to indicate where changes have been made.

We request that final staff review of this amendment be completed by March 1, 1976.
