Dear Mr. Cavanaugh:
'a'e have received your 1ctter, dated November 6,1970, concerning Mr. Robert !!. Sirmions' =edical status.
In a case involving elevated blood pressure, rapid pulse rate and obesity, it is our practice, as reconnnended by our medical consultant, to evaluate cardiac sufficiency and kidney functioning. For the forner, we request a report of stress cardiac testing, such as a two-step !! asters EKG. For the latter, we requent a report of urinalysis and blood urea nitrogen.
If the results of these examinations are favorable the applicant would be eligible for a license. Ue would require, as a condition of the license, that he submit a current blood pressure report, before and after exercice, a-. a six month or one year interval, depending upon the individual case.
If the blood pressure is again elevated, i.e. 160/100 or greater, the test results indicated above should be promptly submitted in connection with his current operator license.
