The cognizant engineer assigned to each startup syste=
reviews the release package for deficiencies and corrects any that are found. The discrepancies found in the release packages for startup systems 56 and 80 were corrected in this manner. The above procedure was for-ally implemented on-October 2, 1972, and not the week of September 18, 1972, as stated previously.

This particular response should not be interpreted to mean the Station Test Coordinator does not have the opportunity to review and recernend changes to test procedures.
The Station Test Coordinator is informed of the upcoming review of a procedure and his co==ents are requested. After the procedure is approved, he may still change or reco= mend (m) changes to the procedure per the " Plan for Pre-Operational C/

Enclosure II 1.
The Emergency Boron Shutdown System Test listed in the AEC Guide for the Planning of Pre-Operational Testing Programs is included in the Chemical Addition and Sampling System Operational Test, TP 60005.
5 We would like to discuss in detail with your c'.aff the Instrument Air System design and operation, and why it is not required for the safe shutdown of the plant.
This dis-cussion should serve as the basis for a need for any addi-tional testing.
9 The Containment and Auxiliary Structures Filter Test will be conducted at the plant site using approved procedures per OP 10014.09. This test vill be conducted by the filter vendor and the results will be documented in the plant files.
