This refers to the special team inspection conducted by Mesbrs. H. Chaney,

B. Nicholas, C. Hooker, and M. Skow, during the period August 28 - Septmber 1,

[.

1989, of activities authorized by NRC Operating License NPF-42 for Wolf Creek

Generating Station, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. J. Bailey

and other members of your staff et the conclusion of the inspection on

September 1, 1989.

Areas examined during the inspection involved your radiological control program

including:

radiation protection, radioactive effluent releases, low-level

,

radioactive waste, and radioactive materials transportation programs. Within

these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures

and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the

NRC inspectors.

The inspection findings are documented in the enclosed

inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

identified.
